I hit like a thousand people on Runescape with a sword(Ok a whip and a dagger but same thing. Swords suck in Runescape) when I still played it and I got aprecciated for it.

They don't die. They wear all these protective clothes and the swords aren't sharp or pointy enough to pierce through them.

Where the hell did you get a broadsword? Unless you mean those fake plastic ones they sell to kids. And a broadsword is too heavy. Assuming you can actually lift a broadsword with no problem, they can hit you trice in the time it would take you to hit them twice with the broadsword.

Meh, shotgun works. Shoot at their head. They might be wearing a protective plate over their chest.
